Indian Animation

Historically, allthough World Animation did not precede Indian Animation by more than a couple of years, it took a long, long time for animation in India to come of age. The widespread proliferation and recognition of animation in India is a relatively new phenomenon aided greatly by the media explosion in the last decade or so.

In this section we take a look at the evolution of animation in India and the participants - the institutes, studios, organizations as well as individuals that collectively form the ‘Indian Animation Industry’.
