Making of a Showreel
The most common question asked by students and aspiring animators in India is, “What do I show in my Demo Reel?” Unlike other jobs, where a person’s resume, educational background and work experience are examined, an animator’s true test is his or her showreel. There is often a lot of confusion with regards to what should be included in the demoreel, what the ideal length should be and what studios are looking for. Recruitment decisions in animation are made on the basis of the quality of work in a show reel but even the most-talented animation students as well as industry-ready animation professionals still do not know how to present their show reels.
With the theme “A nice product sells very well, if it is packaged well”, Graphiti is presenting a seminar in collaboration with CGTantra and Animation Xpress.

The seminar will focus on:

- The Dos and Don’ts of making a Show reel
- Key points in a Show reel
- HR perspective on a job application
- Making of a show reel – a case study
CGTantra will also be presenting on how to showcase show reel online.
